Those who have served or continue to serve with courage and commitment, and whose service has shaped their lives in lasting ways.
Firefighters, paramedics, law enforcement, search-and-rescue professionals and others who step forward in moments when people need them most.
Those navigating life after an injury or illness that changed everything and continuing forward with courage, resilience and hope.
Minors may also be nominated and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Heroes are welcome to nominate themselves or may be nominated by a friend, family member, or organization. Nominees do not need to live in Northern Nevada but must be able to travel to the Reno-Tahoe area.
Tell us about the hero you're nominating and why their story deserves to be celebrated. The nomination form takes approximately five minutes to complete and will remain open through September 7th.
Each nomination will be thoughtfully reviewed by The Moment Foundation team. Selected heroes will be notified and all experience details will be shared directly with them.
Selected heroes will join pilot Grant Korgan for an unforgettable Hero Flight over beautiful Lake Tahoe — created entirely at no cost to them.

Everything you need to know before submitting a nomination.
No. Heroes may be nominated from anywhere, as long as they are able to travel to the Reno-Tahoe area for their Hero Flight. Specific arrival and flight-day details will be shared privately with selected recipients.
No. The Hero Flight experience is provided entirely at no cost to the selected hero, made possible through the generosity of The Moment Foundation's donors and supporters.
Absolutely. Self-nominations are warmly welcomed and will receive the same thoughtful consideration as every other nomination.
Because we can offer only a limited number of Hero Flights, we may not be able to select every deserving nominee during this campaign. Nominations may be kept on file and considered for future Hero Flight opportunities, so there is no need to resubmit unless you would like to share meaningful updates to their story.
Hero Flights are typically about one hour and offer an unforgettable view of Lake Tahoe with pilot and co-founder Grant Korgan. Friends and family are welcome to join us to send their hero off and celebrate with them when they return.
